The third day of the 9th KVIS Invitational Science Fair offered participants a break from presentations as students embarked on a full-day excursion for education and recreation.
Participants were divided into two groups that rotated through different activities. In the morning, the first group visited the Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Sattahip, where students learned about different stages of turtle development and contributed to conservation efforts by cleaning nursery ponds. Meanwhile, the second group explored the Sirindhorn Herbal Garden in Rayong, enjoying the scenic landscapes and interactive art installations. Visitors also had the opportunity to create Thai herbal inhalers (Yaa Dom) or aromatic liquid balms (Primsane Nam) as souvenirs. Both groups then traveled to Nang Rong Beach in Sattahip for lunch and recreational activities, including swimming and kayaking.
In the afternoon, the groups switched destinations. The first group visited Terminal 21 Pattaya, a shopping mall featuring international themes, while the second group traveled to a mangrove forest in Sattahip. There, students participated in hands-on mangrove seedling propagation and observed wildlife native to Thailand.
The excursion provided participants with opportunities to experience Thai culture and nature while building friendships beyond the formal academic program.
