GENIUS Olympiad is an international high school project competition focused on all aspects of global environmental issues. The competition provides challenges and opportunities for students, to instill in them the skills and knowledge needed to become the decent citizens, leaders, scientists, artists, writers, engineers, and policy makers of the future—agents who will promote and contribute to greater environmental sustainability throughout their lives.

GENIUS Olympiad is also an abbreviation of “Global Environmental Issues and Us”. It founded in 2011 and hosted by SUNY Oswego in New York, USA with 647 project applications of Science & Art categories from 46 countries led to 230 finalist participants. Since then, the number of participants has increased significantly, and categories has been added on top.

Celebrating 10 years in 2020, GENIUS Olympiad organized by Terra Science and Education and hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, USA which hosted projects in eight general disciplines with an environmental focus: Science, Art, Robotics, Writing, Business, Music, Short Film and Upcoming. The original schedule was set on June 15 to 20, 2020 and was postponed arranging by online due to COVID-19 outbreak to June 12, 2021.    

In GENIUS Olympiad 2020 – 2021, there are 2,481 project applications from 85 countries which have been carried on 1,245 projects for the finalists.  In this world fair, Kamnoetvidya Science Academy (KVIS) has a great opportunity to nominate 4 projects of 7 students in Science Category consisted of 4 sub-categories namely Ecology & Biodiversity, Resource & Energy, Human Ecology, and Innovation. Successfully, all of them were selected to the final round from 1,311 to 679 projects. Apart from them, only 371 projects have been considered for awards of 134 Honorable Mentions, 99 Bronze, 92 Silver, and 45 Gold Medals together with 1 Top Grand Gold Awards.
