“Two KVIS students have been selected by the Embassy of Japan in Thailand to be the successful candidates of the Japanese Government Scholarship 2022”

    On August 11, 2021, the Embassy of Japan in Thailand announced the name list of successful candidates who will be recommended to the Japanese Government for granting the ungraduated scholarship in academic year 2022. The final selection of the grantee will be made in Japan by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho: MEXT).

    Out of the 14 final candidates in the fields of Social Science and Natural Sciences, there are 2 KVIS (Grade 12) students including:

    1 Mr. Thanasan Kumdee

    2 Ms. Pim Chotnapalai

    Japanese government scholarship Program consists of 7 sub-categories. High school students who intend to apply for this program must be 17 – 25 years old, hold Thai nationality, and must graduate from high school before March of the year that the scholarship commences.

    The duration of the scholarship is 5 or 7 years, depending on the field of study (Including one year of Japanese language course). The Embassy of Japan in Thailand will open for applications around the beginning of June in every year.
