KVIS administrative team participated in the Kathina festival

    On November 12, 2021, the KVIS administrative team, teachers, staff, students and their parents, in advance, prepared for the Kathina Ceremony of Wat Pa Yup Nai, Rayong.

    In the morning, the residence hall masters arranged the Kathina trees for our students to decorate with banknotes. These banknotes were 226,732฿ donated by all KVIS members and students’ parents.

    After that, in the afternoon, KVIS administrative team with students’ parent representatives had offered money and robes to the monks for the Kathina Ceremony of Wat Pa Yup Nai, which took place on November 14, 2021.

    Kathina Festival, an annual merit-making activity, regularly takes place on any convenient date within a month at the end of the Vassa Retreat. It is the time of the year when the laity may offer new robes and other requisites to the monks.
