From October 10th to 20th, 2023, six KVIS students, led by Teacher Phakin Nimmannorrawong, embarked on a journey to Camborne Science and International Academy (CSIA) in Cornwall, England. This cultural exchange program offered the students a unique opportunity to explore CSIA's renowned Nexus campus and delve into the cultural and natural wonders of Camborne and its surroundings.

CSIA, a school that prides itself on ensuring equal educational opportunities for all, stands out with its curriculum that integrates the essence of STEM and Liberal Arts subjects, aiming to produce well-rounded individuals. Apart from the Nexus campus, which focuses on fostering gifted students in science and mathematics, the school also features the Cornwall School of Mathematics and Science (CSMS) for advanced STEM education and plans to establish the Cornwall School of Liberal Arts (CSLA) for social sciences and humanities.

The itinerary for the KVIS group was diverse and enriching. Starting with a marine research field trip, the students engaged in practical learning experiences at Portreach beach. They also participated in cultural lessons, such as making Cornish cream tea and learning about local history and poetry, providing comprehensive insight into Cornwall's rich cultural heritage.

This cultural exchange has not only expanded the students' academic horizons but also offered them a deeper understanding of cultural diversity. The visit underscores the importance of such exchanges in enhancing educational experiences and fostering global citizenship, offering valuable insights for KVIS's ongoing development in education.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to CSIA, its dedicated staff, and the generous host families who warmly welcomed us. Their support and hospitality played a crucial role in the success of our cultural exchange program, enriching the experiences of our students and fostering a deeper understanding of global education and cultural diversity.
