"The mourning ceremony for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej was conducted at KVIS today. All management, teaching staff, supporting staff, and students were in attendance. Dr. Thongchai Chewprecha, the Principal and Director of KVIS, presided over the ceremony and addressed the gathering. He said, “His Majesty the King is loved by everyone in Thailand and His death is a huge loss to the people of Thailand and to KVIS”. Dr. Thongchai also expressed his deepest condolences to the Royal Family and wished for His Majesty the King's Soul to rest in peace. Dr. Sompong Witayasakpan expressed that he is deeply saddened by the loss of His Majesty and mentioned that this is an immeasurable loss to the people of Thailand.

The national flag of Thailand at KVIS was hoisted at half-mast and the KVIS community paid respect to His Majesty the King by observing silence and bowing towards the King’s royal portrait with their heads touching the ground.
