Delegate from Taiwan visits KVIS

    Ms. Jill Lai, Educational Attaché, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office affiliated with the Embassy of Taiwan, Bangkok visited KVIS. She gave a lecture on the topic “Taiwan government scholarship for Thai students”. After the lecture, she had a formal discussion with Dr. Thongchai Chewprecha and Dr.Thanit Pewnim on possible collaboration between KVIS and high schools in Taiwan in the near future.

Taiwanese universities are in the Top 100 globally and Top 10 in Asia according to QS world university ranking. Ms. Lai's lecture gave insights on the opportunities and scholarships available with universities in Taiwan. She emphasized that, Thai students don't need to worry about their Chinese proficiency inorder to pursue education in Taiwan, as 80% of the courses available are offered in English. She also introduced the availbility of scholarships for Thai students with the government of Taiwan. Taiwan government scholarships is offered during January - March every year. If the scholarship application gets approved then the prospective student may receive a sum of 15,000 NTD per month.
